OVERVIEW
Centurion's wake-minded Avalanche C4 came to our test session decked out in a sharp green metallic flake graphic that sparkled like emerald gold in the Northern California sun. But once we overcame our initial superficial attraction, we found a capable water-sports machine that can please riders of all levels, depending on the setup. The classic V-Drive configuration of the C4 greeted us with a wide and spacious wraparound lounge that offers comfortable seating for a dozen of your closest friends. And with the ballast filled to the brim, our test riders enjoyed wide, mellow ramps.

Bow Walkway
This passageway is elevated with a step up to it so that a cooler fits underneath with easy access from both directions.
Tower
We dug the swept-back lines and overall profile of the standard Double Up Tower and its black powder-coated finish.
TEST ANALYSIS
Wakes
Our test team found these wakes to be medium-sized with a wide and mellow shape. Beginners will thrive at short lines and relatively higher speeds, and more advanced riders can add more weight, bump that speed up and drop farther and farther back for more time in the air. Overall: A good boat for a variety of skill levels.
Handling
Bow rise: 18.3 degrees during typical acceleration. This dash is especially high, as it extends above the steering wheel, so the bolster comes in handy. Tracking: The Avalanche C4's deeper V hull slices through rough water like a bigger boat, and its higher profile in the water makes for a more comfortable ride. Turns: The Avalanche turned well for this size boat.
