Price Range: $300 MSRP blank with fin to $600 with double Venom boots.
Lengths: 66.5” and 68.5”
Notable features: An all-new ski for 2002. The Rival is a cross between the Competition Freeride Series slaloms and the Radius. The dimensions therefore fall between these other two series. The Rival is slightly narrower than the Radius, which allows for more performance at slightly higher speeds than the Radius. The Rival has more width, however, than the Comp/Freeride Series, which creates more support – allowing the skier to reduce his speed for more control. The Rival, with its Super V bottom, is also extremely forgiving.
Best Suited For: The ”one ski fits all” crowd or those who are still working on perfecting their skills.
