“If you watch Nate ski from the shore, you can’t tell if he’s running 35 or 39. For the last year, he’s captured the eyes of many skiers.” – Thomas Degasperi
Twenty-year-old slalom legend in the making, NATE SMITH, from McCordsville, Indiana, is redefining the most efficient approach to the slalom course. This past June, he accomplished what no pro skier has ever done – running two complete passes at 41 off in a pro event (Militia Sac-Town Gold Rush). Even more impressive was how relatively easy he made it look – not much different from his 38-off pass. And when he rounded one ball at 43 off in the final to claim his first pro victory with no celebratory fist pump or much emotion, we realized that, for smith, this was an everyday occurrence.
