Team Malibu's Chris Parrish is slicing up the slalom circuit with a string of podium finishes.
(Merced, CA) – Team Malibu's Chris Parrish came barreling out of the gate this 2002 slalom season and his momentum is building. He has dominated the first three events of the circuit bringing home a second and two first place finishes respectively. Parrish seems to have made himself at home a top the podium.
Parrish ran through the competition in Australia at the Moomba Masters only to be topped by veteran skier Andy Mapple. Mapple captured the first win of the season, but has yet to steal another one from Parrish.
Parrish skied on to Charleston, SC where he found himself in a three-way tie for first after the final round. Mapple and fellow Team Malibu member Drew Ross joined Parrish in a tiebreaker that would throw him to a first place finish. After this event Parrish had a taste for victory. Nothing could satisfy that hunger, but another win.
Satisfaction came in Pine Mountain, GA at the 2002 Masters. Parrish once again stood toe-to-toe with the best slalom athletes in the world and refused to give an inch. He came away with his first Masters title and his third podium finish in as many events. Parrish was joined by Jamie Beauchesne in second place and Mapple rounded out the top three.
Parrish is well on the way to his winningest season. All of the employee-owners at Malibu Boats offer him congratulations on a job well done and encouragement for the wins yet to come.
