Maryville, TN (June 27, 2008) – NASCAR driver Kasey Kahne was in East Tennessee on Wednesday to visit with employees at Skiers Choice, Inc., the manufacturer of Supra and Moomba Boats.
Kahne is an avid Watersports enthusiast and wakeboards behind a Supra Launch 24SSV. It's no surprise that Kasey selected the 8.1 Indmar Assualt 450 HP engine. Rick Tinker, President of Skiers Choice Inc. explains, “Skiers Choice is proud to be associated with such an outstanding young man and our employees couldn't be happier when he stops in at the plant to mingle.”
Kahne hasn't had much time to wakeboard lately; although, in recent weeks he has taken wins in Charlotte and Pocono. Kahne is in the mix for the Sprint Cup Championship. Kahne has eight top-ten finishes to accompany his latest two wins. He finished second in Michigan and won the pole at Sonoma.
Kahne explained to a reporter from Wate 6, “You know we need to stay consistent and get a couple more wins if we can. To get some bonus points for the chase. Definitely things are good right now if we can keep running like we are running we will have a great shot at doing a lot more when we get there.”
