MasterCraft’s ProStar 190 is the company’s flagship slalom design. Although MasterCraft sells more of their other models, nowhere does it invest more R and D. The company is that committed to honing this slalom machine. For it’s second year, MasterCraft endorses this side-vented step hull that offers a reduced running surface at slalom speeds while simultaneously lowering and softening the slalom wake.
What makes the 190 even more interesting than its outstanding tournament performance is its increased deck room, compliments of a dramatically flared hull. The Tournament Team Edition has a black anti-glare dash pad, a brushed aluminum dash, a chrome throttle knob and the souped-up Cadillac LQ9 HO 6.0-liter, multi-port EFI V-8 producing a robust 385-horsepower. This power plant has high-compression, dished aluminum pistons teamed with an aggressive high-lift and roller-rocker cam. Plus, it comes with an oversized high-flow exhaust manifold.
The ProStar 190 is a unique boat with a skier’s hull and a connoisseur’s interior. The new 2002 ProStar 190 EVO is the culmination of MasterCraft’s work with slalom boats dating back to 1968. Remember to keep in mind that this is also the official towboat of the U.S. Pro Water- Ski Tour – so you know it is capable of giving you a personal best, or pro skiers a world-record run.
Silky soft world-class slalom wakes deliver the need for speed and hard-ripping turns in the course or open water.
The explosive Indmar LQ9 test engine can handle the toughest slalom pulls ever imagined with no hesitation.
The MasterCraft Training System (MTS) is a sweet option for better boat balancing, which can add up to 180 lbs. to the observer’s side with the flip of a switch.
The flared hull design allows for increased cockpit space for your crew without enlarging the running surface for legendary wake performance.
The hinged rear storage trunk accommodates up to a 71” slalom and is reachable from both inside the boat and swim platform.
The removable rear seat easily converts into a huge sun deck.
A low-profile transom provides an effortless transition to and from the swim platform.
The clamshell engine compartment is a convenient feature for easy access to the motor.
For such a high-performance boat we would like to see front and rear passenger grab rails.
