If you’re a serious skier, don’t flip by these
Tigé boats thinking the company is only out to satisfy
wakeboarders with its 2003 lineup. For the three-event market,
Tigé still keeps a presence with its AWSA-approved,
record-capable 20ci Limited.
Speaking of water, we recommend trying it out in calm conditions
through the slalom course to really take advantage of what it has
to offer. We experienced a nice, narrow wake with average softness
and no spray, and we liked its tracking for slalom and its
excellent responsiveness. For power turns, it was one of the best
boats we tested. Maneuvering was especially easy with the sloped
line of the closed bow, which opens up forward visibility. Get the
TAPS option to help tailor wakes further.
The interior is also designed to help you make the most of your
set. The cockpit has Faria Commander gauges with digital depth
finder and air- and water-temperature readouts, and the
driver’s seat is plush and padded with a big armrest as
support for throttle positioning. Making your way around the engine
box is easy with the wide walkways, and legroom is spacious in the
observer’s seat and the rear bench. A big cooler offers space
to ice your orange juice for dawn patrols.
Overall, the precision handling and slalom wakes make the 20ci a
great option for skiers looking to trade up from I/Os and get into
the inboard market. The boat takes everything to another
