MasterCraft ProStar 190
The ProStar 190 embodies the essence of core water skiing. With its no-nonsense closed-bow design, combined with sleek lines and world-class skiing performance, this boat means business on the water.
Changes to the 2005 edition cater to both aesthetics and performance with some nice bells and whistles. Below the waterline, new, longer-lasting composite bearings in the strut and rudder have replaced O-rings, giving you smoother turns with reduced noise and vibration. The underwater gear features new investment-cast rudders, struts and fins —instead of sand cast — which hold to a nit-picky .005-inch tolerance.
Comfort and styling get a nod too, right down to the stainless-steel cup holders. Upholstery options include Ciervo, pleated Cosmos or Impala textured vinyl, all of which offer a stain-resistant top coat.
Pro feedback inspired the creation of a hull with hard negative chines and parallel channels that give you a decreased running surface and more lift for less wake and shortline spray. The result is a feathery table across a range of speeds that makes wake crossings stress-free for beginners through world-record holders.
The EVO hull has numerous records to its credit, including three world records set in the summer of 2003 in slalom, trick and jump. With the precision of Perfect Pass and the weight compensation of the MasterCraft Training System (MTS), you've got one of the premiere skiing setups available, regardless of your preferred discipline.
