MasterCraft Boats 2005 ProStar 197

MasterCraft ProStar 197

OVERVIEW
If knowing that this boat's proven EVO hull owns all three men's world water-ski records isn't enough to make you lick your chops, check your commitment.
The ProStar 197's new performance extras for 2005 give you the responsiveness you expect, with some instant gratification. A new Digital Throttle Control system (DTC) has eliminated cumbersome cables and lets you lock in on your ideal skiing within .2 mph or 20 rpm with a consistent surge of power. The Control Area Network gauge wiring delivers digital data from the engine and sensors to the dash faster than before.
This open-bow version of the 190 makes it a family-friendly ride, with a sturdy bow filler cushion to build more play space up front for the kids not to mention 20 square feet of rear sun deck room when you lift up the back seat.
Appointments abound, with bright-dipped billet aluminum badges and appliques on the dash panel and throughout the boat, new black-faced gauges, and a JL speaker setup to serenade you while you shorten the line.

SKIING
Whether you're just starting to run the course or you're a elite skier chasing world records, the EVO's side-vented, drag-defying hull gives you small, soft wakes to pursue your passion.
As the only boat ever certified for all five USA Water Ski events, you know it can get the job done no matter what discipline you're towing. It comes standard with the new multiport-injected Indmar RTP-1 power plant; however, we recommend the MCX 350 hp upgrade for extra torque out of the hole. World-class tracking is insured with a tunable rudder and rack-and-pinion steering that give the driver added synchronicity with skiers as they slice through the water. Our testers couldn't get enough of the buttery-soft wake performance from their runs between 15 and 38 off.

LOWDOWN
• You get a purist's skiing setup without having to leave the kids behind.
