Coming in on the price scale at just under $31,000, the newly redesigned Mobius LS may be the best value in the already budget-conscious Moomba line of ski and wakeboard boats. This multisport direct-drive comes standard with rear ballast and tower. Or you can upgrade to split rear and front ballast with all the money you save. Either way, the versatility of the Moomba Mobius LS package is well worth the modest price tag.
The redesigned hull just made wakeboarding even better behind the Mobius LS. In just its stock ballast configuration, our test team was treated to medium-sized swells with smooth ramps and solid peaks. The double-ups were meaty and clean, and overall, this was a fun boat to session.
The seating has been upgraded in 2006 with laminated vinyl upholstery and soft foam backing for increased comfort and strength. We were impressed with all the space for gear, including the gull wing storage, which allows access to your boards, skis and bindings from the transom or cockpit.
The redesigned hull for 2006 retains the Mobius LS’s agile direct-drive maneuvering and handling while welcoming more people with a roomy 97-inch beam. The boat is also fairly solid in rough conditions, considering it’s one of Moomba’s smaller models.
