Water-ski trick legend Cory Pickos now resides in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, where he pretty much coaches year-round at his world-renowned ski school, Cory Pickos Water Ski and Wakeboard. He coaches the best of the best, and also anyone else who shows a passion for water skiing. In a brief interview, Pickos lays some of his knowledge on the table.
Q. Congrats! How does it feel to be inducted into the Water Ski Hall of Fame? A. It really is meaningful and an honor because, I think, of all the awards you get in water skiing, I think being inducted into the Hall of Fame is probably the most prestigious.
Daniel Odvarko, a SansRival sponsored skier from the Czech Republic who trains with Pickos and coaches at the school, says: “To be around great skiers can’t help but make you better. You end up pushing yourself from watching everyone else.”
