Over the last decade, wakesurfing has gone from passing fad to legitimate competitive sport, with tournaments featuring entrants like six-time world wakesurfing skim-style champ Drew Danielo.
Drew Danielo beat out 2010 champ Keegan Flegel to win his sixth world title at the 2011 Centurion Boats World Wake Surfing Championship, which went down Sept. 23-24 on the Colorado River in Parker, Arizona. Bri Chmel won her fourth world title in pro women’s skim-style while Chase Hazen and Rebecca Ort won the pro men’s and pro women’s surf-style divisions.
