The 33rd World Water Ski Championships will go down in the record books as one of the most exciting and highest scoring worlds in the history of the sport.
The U.S. Elite Water Ski Team won the overall team gold medal and four U.S. water ski athletes combined to win five individual gold medals in respective events at the 33rd Water Ski World Championships, Nov. 26-Dec. 1, at Lago Los Morros in San Bernardo, Chile.
Lang’s trick world record of 10,180 points, which she performed at Imperial Lakes in El Centro, California, back in October, was approved a few days ago by the IWWF Tournament Council. USA Water Ski announced today the selection of the 2013 U.S. Elite Water Ski Team. The six-member team, selected by the American Water Ski Association’s International Activities Committee, will compete in the 33rd Water Ski World Championships.
